The theme of this Christmas 2002 Edition of the Quarterly
Newsletter is “Traveller’s Tales”. For many of us for whom Canberra
is our adopted home, travelling can be very much a part of Christmas. We travel
“home” for Christmas. Or, we may make a journey to be with relatives or
friends at this time. Travelling has always been a part
of life. 2000 years ago, the first Christmas began at the end of an expectant
mother’s arduous journey. It was also followed by another journey – a flight
from danger into Egypt. At that first Christmas something
happened that was to change the world. St John puts it this way: …the
Word became flesh and dwelt among us, full of grace and truth… Our wish for all of our readers
is that during this Christmas season, you may experience: The
PEACE of God that surpasses all understanding, A
Merry Christmas And A Happy New Year!
