The Power Of Friendship

A young man, far from home and without money, wired his father: “I am in the big city without money or friends. What shall I do?”

The father wired back: “Make some friends at once!”

To be kind means to be full of benign courtesy. If you want to have friends, then you need to be a friend. People respond to love, sympathy and kindness.

The Gospel Truth

The preacher, one Sunday, asked the congregation to read Mark 17 for the following Sunday. On the appointed day the Minister asked from the pulpit how many had read it. A large number of worshippers put up their hands.

"There are only 16 chapters in Mark,” said the pastor… “This morning I am going to speak on honesty.”
