Interview with Hercule Graylin a conspicuous attender at Crafty Fingers on Friday 19 March.
| RG |
Thank you Hercule for sparing the time. Have you been coming to Crafty Fingers long? |
| Hercule |
In a manner of speaking - from when the group started
in February. But to be truthful my heart has not been in it all along. Its only recently that I've got myself together. |
| RG |
So, how did you find out about the group - did someone invite you or did you see an advertisement? |
| Hercule |
Actually, I just materialised here. |
| RG |
Material-ised? |
| Hercule |
Yes, it all started coming together for me when "she who must be obeyed" started stitching up a few things for me. |
| RG |
"She who must be obeyed"- you mean you're married? Already? |
| Hercule |
Heavens, no. Though there are some rather attractive Tedesses here - they're all coming together rather well, I'd say. No I mean my ahem, creator/creatrix |
| RG |
And the waistcoat, bow tie and beret - did your creatrix make those too? |
| Hercule |
The waistcoat was specially tailored for me and the gold chain, - 11 carat, comes from TayWahn, while the bow tie and the beret are proof of my esteemed military lineage - rather dashing, what! |
| RG |
Finally, your name, Hercule. How did you come by that? |
| Hercule |
Ah! Surely you've heard of Agatha "Mystery" Christie? There was a very distinguished and clever character of hers whose facial decorations bore some resemblance to the fine moustache that I wear. I too, of course, am very distinguished and intelligent. I'm afraid we bear no other resemblance. |
| RG |
Thank you, Hercule, I'm sure our readers will find your comments very fascinating. |
Hercule was encountered during a visit to the Crafty Fingers activities on Friday 19 March. He was one of about 10 very handsome and beautiful teddy bears and bearesses(?). Other activities included quilling, and window card making. There are about 36 people who have been to Crafty Fingers in the 5 weeks it has been going, and if the buzz of interest and activity was anything to go by, I can see this number growing steadily.
The new term begins with a registration day on 23 April and 5 different groups/classes will be offered: quilling; card making; basic beginners folk art; calligraphy; and knitting, crotcheting, quilting and needlework.
Fridays from 12.30 to 3.00 pm could be just the place for you to have a good time, meet new friends, learn some interesting skills - For More Details see our Craft Page (use your browser's Back button to return here).
