Aboriginal and Baptist Reconciliation

Worship Resources - Liturgy

WELCOME AND INTRODUCTION

The purpose and context of the service needs to be explained. If indigenous people are present, an appropriate welcome should be included. An acknowledgement of our presence on traditional land would be appropriate.

CALL TO WORSHIP

Let us give thanks for the coming of God’s reign of justice and love.

Jesus is good news for the poor,

release for the captives,

recovery of sight for the blind,

and liberty for the oppressed.

Let us pray.

Lord, increase the faith of your people and listen to our prayers.

A time of silence may be appropriate.
