Australian Baptists have been involved in ministry amongst Australian Aboriginal peoples in Central Australia since 1947. We express our deep gratitude to you for your acceptance of us.
The ABMS Board endorses the apologies already expressed by our missionaries for any actions undertaken or practices introduced which have caused hurt.
We look forward to the day when you, the indigenous people, will enjoy
the respect which rightly belongs to you both as the original inhabitants
of this land and as people made in the image of God. We pledge ourselves
to continue to work and pray with you to bring about this goal."
