Canberra Baptist Church supports Global interAction and Service Fellowship International through a percentage of its annual budget and special offerings during the year. In addition, the Christmas Appeal for Baptist World Aid Australia and our Thank Offering taken on Pentecost Sunday have special emphasis each year. Over a five year period, money from the Christmas appeal will be given through BWAA  for the Education program at the Mae La Karen Refugee Camp on the Thai Burma/Border. The church financed a two week teaching program taken by Rev. Dr Thorwald Lorenzen and his wife Jill. This was followed by a further teaching session by two members of the congregation.

Through personal contact by our church members, support is also given to the Zomi Baptists in India, and the Yuendumu Aboriginal Church in Central Australia.

The Church meeting decides ahead of time projects outside our church which will benefit from the Thank Offering on Pentecost Sunday.

At the moment, two couples are serving overseas- one with World Vision in Los Angeles and one with the Micah Foundation in London.
