THE CHARLOTTE WALDOCK WINDOW

Mrs Charlotte Waldock was the wife of Dr A.J. Waldock, the first minister of this church. Mrs Waldock died as a result of injuries received when she fell on the steps of Central Baptist Church, Sydney when she was attending the NSW Baptist Union Assembly meetings. Her death was a tremendous shock to the church. She was the founding President of the church's Women's Fellowship from 1929-1946 and her death temporarily disrupted the organisation which was in abeyance for several months.

The window was a token of love and remembrance from the Women's Fellowship and was unveiled by Dr Waldock on 22 February 1948 at a special memorial service.
